The Concepts x SB High “Turen/Mallard is a special collaboration cooked up by the Boston sneaker boutique and SB on a for Thanksgiving and the Holidays. The wild look was described by Concept’s Creative Director Deon Point as being the shop’s “most off-the-wall thing we’ve ever done, high praise coming from the man who had a hand in coming up with the design of luminaries like the “Lobster SB s and . Inspired by the popular holiday dish of turducken, which is both a chicken and duck stuffed inside of a turkey, the “Turen is also based on the mallard duck. Nods to the waterfowl include an iridescent blue and green Swoosh that sit on top of a leather textured material meant to look like feathers. Suede detailing on the heel mimics duck down. Additional tongue-in-cheek overtures to the mallard duck include an orange sole to represent its legs and feet and a toile print on the insole and collar lining displaying a flock of mallards.
